Professional Support
Commercial support or I need help now!
March Hare Software provide commercial Support for the current stable releases. They are able to provide full training, installation and after-sales suppport. If you require immediate help or help within a certain defined time frame then this is the best option available.
Community
This software is developed by a community of people. If you would like to see a new feature, better documentation or improved management then you need to contribute. You can contribute by personally getting involved, encouraging others to get involved or by financially supporting those already involved (eg: by purchasing their product). If you are contributing financially then be sure that the person or organisation is involved, eg: March Hare Software have been the primary sponsor of development since 2004.
The primary way that the CVSNT and EVS communities interact is via the mailing lists detailed below.
Community support
Opensource community support is done primarily through the mailing lists. This support primarily takes place in discussions - you may need to review several answers and try several different suggestions before you find a solution to your problem. This work is all done on a voluntary basis - even the staff from March Hare Software who contribute do not get paid for the time spent volunteering:
EVS/CVSNT 3.x Community support
Older CVSNT 2.x Community support
For the older 2.x series of software.
- cvsnt - General support and help for CVSNT users.
- cvsnt-dev - Development discussion (member posting only)
Before asking questions or reporting bugs it is a good idea to read the Bug Reporting Guidelines
Bug Database
The EVS trouble ticket reporting system is available to report bugs. Please do this only after following up with the mailing list as many problems can be solved with simple configuration changes.
The CVSNT Wiki is still available and contains much relevant information
